Behind the Scenes at Rye Y Camp

by Ashley Rosell, Assistant Director of Member Services

You may see me at the front desk for most of the year, but during the summer you’ll see me managing the camp office at our summer site, the Osborn School in Rye. With February’s unseasonably warm temperatures sneaking up on us, camp has been on our minds more than ever. We’ve been pulling out all the stops to ensure that this summer is your camper’s best summer ever by booking fun trips and offering more flexibility in camp registration than ever before.

Did you know about our new registration options?
• This year you can divide your camp payments into four equal payments. After putting down the first quarter of your total as a down payment, you can choose any three dates for billing between your registration date and our payment deadline of June 9th.  Pay it all off in one month, space it out, skip a month between payments, whatever works for you! Payment plan forms are available at the front desk.
• For those paying in full, you can complete your whole registration on our online registration portal – including youth membership!
• As we know how important it is to your campers to be with your friends, we have given you the ability to choose your own camp groups this year. Coordinate with other parents and choose the same group number, register, and never worry again! No last minute switches – no unhappy campers.

And speaking of payment options and friends, what about the friend your camper has yet to make? I see registrations come in from all over the world, but the greatest joy I have is seeing campers in our own backyard get the chance to attend camp with our Y-CARES financial assistance made available thanks to the generosity of our amazing donors. If you haven’t given to our cause this year, now is a great time!  Every dollar given is an opportunity to transform a life.

If you haven’t registered yet, don’t wait!  Sign up before it’s too late.
I’m looking forward to seeing you at camp!
