Campers will join the sports staff all day, have lunch and then continue their instruction in the afternoon. Full day sports campers have swim time three days a week. Sports campers do not
participate in Discovery Camp trips.
Basketball – Weeks 1 & 5
Campers will focus on the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and teamwork. They will also play a variety of games to reinforce the techniques learned.
Soccer – Weeks 2 & 6
Sports campers will focus on the essentials which include trapping, passing, dribbling, offense/defense positions and teamwork. Each day will be broken up between instruction, games and full scrimmages.
Baseball – Weeks 3 & 7
Campers will learn all aspects of baseball from pitching and throwing to catching, hitting, base running and basic fielding skills. Like our other sports options, the day will be mixed between skills and games. Campers will need to bring their own glove each day.
Multi-Sport – Weeks 4 & 8
This one week camp is designed to teach campers a variety of skills and sports. Campers will experience several sports including football, baseball and soccer as well as summer camp classics such as capture the flag, kickball and more.
